Between Chestnut St. & Oak St. This 1/2 mile gravel walking trail leads through downtown Assumption, with wonderful views of the railroad park, pollinator garden, library garden, and more. |

Community Garden
Corner of N Chestnut and W North Located behind City Hall, the community garden has flowers, herbs, and produce. Anyone and everyone is welcome to harvest, pick flowers, and help take care of the garden! This year's produce includes: jalapeño peppers, green peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, and pumpkins. |

Assumption Veterans Memorial
138 North Chestnut Street In early 2011, the Assumption VFW and American Legion Posts decided that a fitting memorial should be built to honor the people from Assumption who served our country. A committee was appointed consisting of members from both organizations: Norman Bethard, John Bonn, James Bugg, Ron Mink, Carl Puckett, and Bill Sullivan. The committee selected Robert Dondeville, a Vietnam veteran, who designed the Mt. Zion Veterans Memorial, to develop a fitting design for an Assumption Veterans Memorial. |
